FACE OF KENYA CHARITY FUNDRAISER

The most important days of our lives are; the day we are born and the day we discover why(PURPOSE).

Joining the Face of Kenya Uk charity fundraiser is among the best decisions I ever made. The platform has helped me to grow and accomplish some of the goals I had penned down at the click of the year. And isn't it amazing when you commit to do something and then you accomplish it; better still accomplish it in a tremendous way than expected. Because its one thing to make a list of dos and don'ts and its another thing to live them out.

I am humbled to share what I have benefited from the platform as a way to inspire others especially the youths to be involved in community and charity work.

1. You are not the same person you were at the start; I have had the best opportunity to learn more about my country and understand the societal needs that need redress. But most importantly I have had a renewed sense of belonging, a novel revelation that I can do something for society, and most importantly I have developed the passion to promote my country no matter where I am.

2. You are an inspiration with all your imperfections; Perhaps the reason as to why most people do not dare boldly is because they are afraid of failure, they are inscribed to unnecessary thoughts of fears and flaws which are apparently just imaginations. But then show me a perfect being?  A flawless person? No one has it all...

Through it all I have learnt that I have flaws and that I am imperfect but it only takes the right intent, bold move, a spirit that never gives up, a dedication and effort to commit to my goals.
Who said we cant stand up once we fall? And if someone tries to disregard your efforts, don't  you have the chance to disregard their negativity? Must we catch every ball that's thrown to us?

3. Self-believe is important; People will believe in you and they will be wiling to support you, however, its critically important that you too first believe in yourself. No one wants the type of life where you are just hanging on. I have been made to comprehend that everyone has the power to believe in themselves.

5. Satisfaction; Satisfaction comes in many ways . I now begin to realise my major source of satisfaction. Its now conspicuous to me that its good to make a difference in the lives of those     within our realms of  influence. But better still to experience the joy that comes with making others  experience a difference  and feel some  happiness.
