All the years I yearned for freedom
For my days of liberation to come
When I didn't have to be under anyone's purview
When I could simply go to places
Yes go to places and do stuff without curfews
Phew!!! The whistle blew
Hurrah, hurrah, hurrah!!!
Here comes the dawn of my freedom
Pack and set to the world
Hello little mind, you just put the wrong foot forward 😔😔😔
Now on my own; This reality hit me hardest
For once I felt some profound gap within me
Just like a fish out of water
Insidiously I was being deprived my sense of urgency to do vital things
Yes, no more reminders from whosoever
Then pensively I learnt,,,
With freedom comes additional responsibility
What seems good in the mind could be different in actuality
And that your freedom could be the biggest test of your life
That the freedom you yearn for could ruin or build you,,,"BTW that's your verdict to make!"
And whether your freedom draws you nigh to your destiny or closer to your misery, "Thou shalt be your verdict."
So have the freedom to;
Do what makes you happy..Freedom of happiness
Go to places that ignite you sense of wonder...Freedom of novelty
Embrace the little acts that melt your heart...Freedom of inner peace "Blissdom"
Embrace battles worth winning...Freedom of choice
Be forever grateful and indebted for all the things you have...Freedom of privilege
And don't forget the limitation as put forward by James E. Janz
A rendezvous with the true destiny
If anything is fun, Thou shalt not;
If anything feels good, Thou shalt not;
If anything is natural, or promises to give pleasure or even relief,
THOU SHALT NOT. THOU SHALT NOT. THOU SHALT NOT.
